Sparkles and, well, more sparkles

Glitter and rhinsteones oh my! That was my life from 2013 through 2019. I made one pair of glitter shoes for an event I was going to that has a competition for custom shoes. So, I got hyper fixated on it and wound up designing shoes for prom, weddings, just because I felt like it, and had the business Sparkle Freaks Design. This evolved into tumblers, t-shirts, and a creative frenzy.

Did someone say tumbler?

I stepped into the tumbler craze along side of the shoe design. This kind of took off and stole the shoe spotlight. I moved away from epoxy work on cups and shifted to rhinestones. There is still a pretty good market for rhinestone work and I see that industry growning.

Many people ask how long it takes to do a cup since I hand place every rhinestone. It is an eight hour process when you add up each session. I love the rhythmic motion of placing the glue then the stones. I find it relaxing and soothing.

Soap for days YEARS!

I started making my own soap when we lived in Ohio and my husband started hunting again. I learned how to use deer fat to make soap. Because we cannot sell products made from game (wild) animals, I just make for myself and gift to people who as for it. Because I had so many requests for soap, I started to use beef fat and pork fat to make bars that could be sold. I don't keep the funds for that, though. I use the money from the soap sales to donate to Healing Rains Ministries which supports outreach in Nicaragua.

Health & Wealth!

I wanted to become a naturopathic doctor. This started learning about hormone health in 2006 when I met some women who were selling a natural progesterone cream. I started paying attention to what they were saying and started doing my own digging. I decided I wanted to learn more, so I ent to school for alternative medicine. As I neared graduation, I had to decide if I wanted to quit the military to go on to medical school. I was already over 10 years in service, so staying in to get retirement benefits for my family made more sense. So, I started a health coach and personal training business. I would host speaking engagements and I held fitness classes in the gym my husband built for me along side what you see here, in this picture, and did "Hillbilly Bootcamp" outdoors. This was a way to teach people to use what they have available to them to make exercise more accessible.
